Client Testimonials

We purchased our Clipper 40 in August 2006 and to date we have traveled approximately 6000 nautical miles which has encompassed the east coast from Port Stevens, across the top to Darwin, down to the Kimberley’s and back.

During this time we experienced a wide range of sea conditions, some of which would severely test any vessel of this size, but we found our Clipper to be capable and seaworthy in all conditions. With bow on seas she was comfortable in conditions that troubled larger vessels.

During our travels we had a number of close friends staying with us and by utilizing the flybridge to it’s full capacity we at no time felt crowded or short of space. The walk around deck made it much safer and comfortable for everybody.

We are especially pleased to see Brett Thurley on board Clipper as, no matter how good a product, it is essential to have back up and support. We know the team under Brett will provide this important service.

We have discovered that with a few minor additions the Clipper 40 is a true and safe passage maker.

Hi Brett and Andy,

We took delivery of our new Clipper 40 before Christmas and after a few trips around the Kepple Islands we headed off to Cairns on Anzac day. The service from Clipper has been great as we have been able to fix any problems we have had over the phone. Having a Cummins Motor is the way to go, as they have branches all up the Coast, we had our 250 hr Service done in Cairns.  Having the bow and stern thruster  has taken  any worry out of getting into marinas and to fuel pontoons .
We have felt very confident with the handling of our Clipper in seas up to 20 to 25 knots. Overall we are very happy with our Clipper as it has made the trip very enjoyable.

It has been 7 months now since I have taken delivery of my Clipper Cordova 48. I thought it was timely that I wrote to you expressing my experience with Clipper and to thankyou not just for delivering a superb boat but for exceeding my expectations both in the product and the support. Not to mention her at sea performance truly classing her as a small ship, at least in my opinion.

I had spent 5 painstaking years evaluating boats before deciding on the Clipper 48. The most influencing points for my final decision were

  1. For this style of boat the Clipper had the best value for money
  2. The quality and specified performance of the finished product
  3. Relationship

On the latter point I have to say I was at all times impressed by the knowledge of the Clipper sales team and the fact each time you went back you were always talking to the same people.

Having ordered her sight unseen (you will remember my original evaluation was based on the 40) a lot of people have said what an enormous risk I had taken. I must say I honestly never thought of it as a risk based on my personal experience with Clipper together with their solid reputation.

I look forward to being a member of the Clipper Club and spending many years of comfortable cruising on my ship.

Wishing you much success and please feel free to use me as a reference to potential Clipper Owners.

Peter, Clipper 48 Owner
